Using what you have to cut angle iron

When I got started I did all cut with 4.5 Angle Grinder. Cuts were not always 90 or 45 degree a had to finish with hand file fix. I got this cheap angle grinder holder which allowed me to cut 1 angle iron 90-degree square with less filing. When I got my Porter Cable 14 chop saw I put the angle grinder holder aside till now. I attached a 3/16 plate with two 1 angle iron pieces welded to it at 90 degree so that the cutting blade cut it in half giving me two 45 degrees angle. Making it easy to cut off the angle iron corner so I can weld 90 degree corner angle with the angle iron.

I discovered a flaw in my design that could me to get hurt. I need make the distance between the cutting blade and the angle iron brace greater because the piece that gets cut off could get jammed between the blade and the angle iron brace and at the high speed that the blade is turning who know what could happen. I also adapted the jig to fit my 14 Porter Cable abrasive chop saw because the small chop saw will not cut 2 angle iron. See pictures of jig attached to 14 chop saw.
