I'm in the process of resoldering every connection on the main board of my unit to see if that makes any difference. The fact that it failed to work after a long period of inactivity makes me think it's a cold solder joint. I'll post my results here when I get it done. Lots of solder joints, it will take awhile.

I finally finished resoldering all the connections on the 200PI main circuit board. Unfortunately that didn't fix the problem so it is now officially a parts machine. As I said earlier though, I really liked this machine so when a friend offered to sell me his I decided to buy it provided it still worked properly. It has been sitting for at least two years since he used it last. I ran it through a thorough test and it performed perfectly so I bought it and it is still running fine now. Hopefully I'll never need to use any parts off my failed unit but at least I have them if I do.
