    TIG 200EX foot pedal question

If I set the amperage on the 200 for TIG welding at 75 on the panel, for example, what is the purpose of the knob on the foot pedal? Does the panel setting control my max amperage when I am using the foot pedal or does the knob? I guess I am confused as to why I need two "amperage controls". Thanks.

The nob on the pedal is just a remote adjustment but if you set your amps on your machine the foot pedal will max out that setting if fully depressed.

Thank you Matos1748. Your answer is what I thought since when I set it at 50 amps on the panel and turned up the knob on the foot pedal all the way, I did not burn through the thin sheet metal i was welding on. Thanks for the clarification.
