    Low Cost Cutting Torch

What is the best cutting torch you can buy in Canada without spending hundreds of dollars? I am in need of torches that will cut up to 1/2 inch steel and also be able to heat steel up to bend it without breaking the bank.

Hi and Welcome, Irish Jon! Every now and again I see a deal come up on Craigs List. If you have time to look and wait, keep an eye out for the usual names: Victor, Esab (formerly known as Union Carbide, sold under the names Oxweld and Purox), Smith, Harris. Do you have acetylene and oxygen already, or are you starting from scratch? If you're just starting out, consider using propane if you're doing a lot of cutting: it's cheaper. Good luck with it, and let us know how it goes!
