    Window Well Cover

Ok, here is the most recent project. I live in N Idaho, where we get lots of snow in the winter. My parents live even farther north (about 40 miles from the Canadian boarder) and get even more snow. With this in mind, they have a basement and it is important to keep the snow out of the window well. The commercial covers you can buy get ugly real quick, have poor fit, and tend to break under the 4-5 foot snow load. So Dad says, "Son, how would you like a welding project?". And of course my reply is "Sure Pop!".

So here we are, a tilted frame that you can buy, cut and fit plexiglass that is cheap and readily available from a local big box store.

Wish I had better pics of the build, but at least here is the finished product.

Another small project. Thanks to Justin for helping me with identifying what size tubing to use and the proper ratio of gussets. This is a frame for a coffee table for my mother. My Dad is doing the wood and tile work. Ill post up another pic of the finished product when he gets done with it.
