    in short go buy a replacement dryer cord with end and put your 50amp plug for the welder on the other end plug n play easy stuff

    OK, that's what I tried doing before. The guy at Lowes said I need to get a 220 plug wired and that the dryer plug would not work. I will go get that cord after all then. Thanks wookie.
    If there's a hole, my rod can fill it!

    i use the dryer dongle adapter when i go over to peoples houses to do work since most places have 220v behind the dryer
    or i have another pig tail that direct wires right into the breaker box
    GE 6 ft. 3-Prong 30-Amp Dryer Cord-WX09X10004DS at The Home Depot if you have 3 wire
    Non-Brand 6 ft.10/4 4-Wire Dryer Cord - Black-AW20009 at The Home Depot if you have 4 wire for the 4 wire just drop the neutral wire and use the 2 hots and ground

    get a single gang box and strain relief and appropriate cover

    Or you can just put this on the end of the dryer cord http://www.lowes.com/pd_423829-43469...cle&facetInfo= make sure you use a strain relief

    Yep had both those items in my hand lol. I guess next time I will ask an electrician instead of a Lowes employee. Thanks again.
