    Skidder Part 2

A few years ago I posted pictures of my Dad's skidder motor that got mice in it. After that it was rebuilt with two new rods a new head and a bunch of other stuff.

It has less than 200 hours on it since the last incident. I was driving it out of the woods with a hitch on the back and it starts to run rough and make an awful rattling noise. I shut it off as quick as I could and hopped off to take a look. Engine oil was poring out of the bottom.

One of the rods broke about two inches down from the piston. The rest of the rod connected to the crank broke the heck out of the bottom of the crank case. You could put your arm through the bottom of the case and out the other side.

I think it was the original one. I am not 100% sure. Two rods were bent and the first two cylinders had more crap in them than the back one. I would assume they put the rod back in the same cylinder it came out of.
