I am going to add height control but the meathod in which I do is the question

option 1:
buy torchmates version for a ridiculous amount of money

and option 2:

I can upgrade my signal generator from a 4 amp to a 8 amp to cut at much faster speeds and incorporate the latest technology in height control for roughly same amount of money

option 2 is a no brainer to me, what would you do

also I am looking to stretch mine to 4' long, I am brain storming design ideas.

I don't think those motors will handle the speeds without being upgraded as well.

The motors are fine, I have been talking to people that have been in the business for a very long time

After talking to Pierre I am going to build a new table and probably sell the torchmate, I am waiting to purchase his plans first though

Now thats a good idea ... You should get a good price out of it ... Even more if you offer a plasma cutter with it.

I'm not looking ... I was just saying in your case ... you can get a deal on one to sell with your table ... Ya Know offer a "turn key" setup!!

Alot of folks like "ready" to go setups ..... maybe put a 42i with a machine torch, proma THC and a floating head on yours ... may make it more attractive sale package?

You may want to advertise on Pirate 4x4 for your table. They have a dedicated Torchmate section and they always sell fast. I wouldn't worry about whether it comes with a plasma cutter. Those guys LOVE Hypertherm over there. Jim Colt posts there quite a bit too.

What size are you going to build? Pierre knows his stuff on plasma tables doesn't he?

I am gonna build a 2x4, that size suits me very well and since there are quite a few pieces at the steel yard already that size at discounted prices it makes sense. Pierre is very knowledgeable and a great asset to this forum he is very much appreciated
