welding a sleeve?

I have a quad that was nosedived pretty hard and the front end twisted i cut it at the bends and i have got it straight now i need to put a piece of steel in the tube frame in both spots i cut it and weld it back together any suggestions on what type of weld i should use i was planning on wire feed any tips or special procedure info appreciated thanx

On a butt weld of bike tubes I put a tight sleve inside the two pieces of tubing so it runs about an inch on either side of the weld. Then sweat weld with Oxy Acetelene and bronze. I've never had a break.

Yes i would use a slug but a sleeve goes outside a slug inside the tube and i would usea wire feed or mig welder and you wont have a problem espicaly if your doing it on any type of structural portion of the frame let me know what happens

X3 on sleeving then I would mig weld it
