My new air regulator arrived on Wednesday. Thanks. I have a question about the cfm for a compressor. altho I have an air compressor it is too big to be easily portable. so I am thinking I would like to get a smaller one for plasma cutting.to make the system is portable.

The compressor depends on the CFM of your cutter.
3.5 CFM for LP40D, 4.5 CFM for LP50D, etc.............
When looking for a compressor use the CFM to choose the proper one. Note that if you buy a 3.5 CFM compressor for a LP40D the compressor will run all the time you are cutting, it is always good have a little extra for air leaks etc....
Some people will double the CFM of the compressor compaired to the actual usage.
Sense you will be using 65-75 PSI the compressor's CFM should be at 90 PSI or greator.
Home Depot, Meninards, HF all have quite a few compressors to choose from.
