Then I got the racks and pinions

3 racks of 2000 mod. 1 (a cut to 1500mm because of shipping costs from 28 to 150 beyond 1500mm or to the choice made with CNCdrive)
and 3 pinion 20dents mod. A

Looks great Vincent. You're going to have quite a machine when you're done.

Vincent. There is a 25 image maximum per post so I cannot add the remaining photos. I'll see if I can get approval to bump the max up and continue the edit.

One suggestion Vincent, if you're going to have the plasma cutter that close to the cutting dust you should put a very good filter on the fan input of your plasma cutter. The dust is electrically conductive and will get all over the inside of the cutter.

Dan, is that first hand experience or just good common sense.:gwink

I haven't burned up a PC yet if that's what you mean. I put my PC in a cabinet with filters on the air flow. I have a fan blowing the plasma dust out the big garage door and keep the plasma cutter as far away from the table as the leads will allow. (upwind from the fan too)

Looking great Vincent. :D

I've got a friend that was grinding away on an old project car for a good long while before the fire started. His helper was supposed to have pulled the battery. The fun started when he'd built up enough particulate to short things out. Common sense wins, it just doesn't always happen so often.
