Plasma tips ... Small or large?

What are the guide lines for using small tips vs. Large tips...
I ended up with 2 large 30pc. Tip sets instead of one of ea.
I'll be using this cutter on a CNC Table (as soon as it ships)
So any insight would be help full....
I'll mostly be cutting smaller gauge stuff on the table but I have plenty of projects
With larger stuff instore...
Thanks guys...

I have a 50i cutter.

The smaller tips will give you a smaller curf and less final heat to the cutting surface. I would use 10 GA as the defining point, thicker than that I would use the larger tip.

I purchased the big pack for my 80i. Are smaller tips available for this beast?

Well that's good to know...
I wonder if Longevity will trade a 30pk of large for a package of the small.
Thanks for the info...

So did we verify that u can use smaller tips on the 80 torch?

I do not know if they are available from Longevity. I have a S45 torch and purchased some nozzles form HF, they were on close out, so they were really cheep. They had a smaller dia. hole. I ran the test on my CNC and found that nozzle with the small holes gave me less curf and less warp age on sheet metal.

Do you have that part number? Does Longevity offer differenct tips for the S45?

I will look to see if I discarded the package.
