My WP26 that came with the welder is a bit bulky and clumsy. I was thinking of switching it to a WP9 (like what I used in welding class). Is there a trick to it?
Where do you get front panel power connectors?
Do you just change the head?
Never done before so any hints and suggestions are very appreciated.
I am just another noobie with a new toy laughingicon

BTW I really respect anyone who can TIG Stainless 1" dia. thin wall tubing!!! I keep trying but the results are horrible...I wonder if I'll ever get there GreenSad headbanger
Is there a trick to it? Walk the cup? Weave?

well the wp9 torch is a 125 amp dc torch and 100 amp ac at 60% duty cycle so as long as you stay under 125 amps with the wp9 you wont fry it you can if you want just change out the torch body or you can order a wp9 with a dinse connecter with a 2 line hose and connect your gas like your normally do hope this answers your question ohh your going to need a switch on the torch body cause of the 2t 4t operation on that machine

The dinse connectors are the European standard.
