Adding wire feed to 518?

I've found my 518 to be a wonderful machine for the limited use I've given it-so far, just using the plasma function.

I do a LOT of MIG welding and it would be most convenient if I were able to use the 518 with an outboard wire feeder.

Has anyone done it and how did it work out?

Mabe the use of a spool gun is what you need??

Good idea! I hadn't even thought of a spool gun as I usually look for other ways to avoid using a spool gun. In this case, it might be the best idea though.

I had been thinking more along the lines of a wire feeder similar to the add-ons to things like Bobcat stick welders.

you cant just run a wire feeder off of the machine becasue it is CC(constant Current) and not CV(constant Voltage) whuch is what you need. In order to do this you need a voltage sensing wire feeder.
