Foot Rests

04-14-2010, 12:36 AM
Had a request from my local barber to make him a pair of foot rests for a new shoeshine chair. Much quicker and cleaner, cutting foot patterns with a plasma torch! What fun when a plan comes together........Brewer

arandall, If you mean the pattern cut-outs, I find I am getting better at travel speed/material thickness,(still have to practice on a scrap before I fire for effect) so clean-up is less, and sooo much better than oxy-ace torch! I do plan to post a little story of something I experienced on the plasma forum, hope it will prevent a problem for someone else ....Brewer

Thank You, I do use my mig, but for quick, small jobs, I am still more comfortable with stick! (More spark time under my belt with stick.)
strube1369 (http://www.longevity-inc.com/forum/members/strube1369.html)- yes it is fun, especially when you're done and you don't have to hide it in your scrap bin!!.....Trent
