Laying on the sofa watching The Price Is Right and eating bon-bons. :)

I don't think so. I plan on bumping my mileage up from 35 miles a week to 55, paint the house, finish my milling machine, do some fishing, play in the shop, and the list goes on and on.

I am sure that all your relatives will find work for you!!! That's what happened to me. March's project... Remodel one of my daughters kitchen.

Congrats to you Gadget!!!

Congrats from me too Dan.
I have been retired for 10 or 12 years now, and there's not much to dislike - at least for me. I just don't understand these people that claim they have noting to do. I know you won't be one of them.

How will I ever keep with with Gadget now? :)

You guys don't know it but this guy is a machine. He has consistently been the #1 biller at work. And he does it the hard way. Not by working on large projects but by packing his schedule full of one and two hour appointments. We will miss his expertise and hard work. Have fun with your extended time off.

Well Friday was my last day as a full time employee. I'm going to do some part time work to pay for insurance but that is limited to the Social Security earnings cap. Monday is my first day of total freedom (not counting the weekend since I would have been off anyway). So much to do I'll probably spend half the day trying to figure out what to do first ;-)

Congratulations Gadget, you made it. Keep busy, grow old gracefully and live long enough to be a pain in the ass to your children.

Congratulations from me too Dan. Hopefully you'll take time to smell the roses every once in a while. - and just remember - gettin old ain't for sissies.

Congratulations Dan. I am sure you will enjoy your well deserved retirement. Now you will be busier then you ever have been......but that is a good thing.

I had to work twice as hard today with Gadget gone. Have fun and give me half a chance to keep up with the mill build.

I've got some parts for you TM. I poured the spindle bearing caps today.

Haha I figured as much. I need to buy the taper pins and I'll be over to drill the hole for them. I've got it lined up so straight that South Ben called and ask me what my technique was. laughingicon

I'll be in Friday morning (meeting time) to pay my insurance. I will bring the cap along. You can pick up the spring steel when you come over to drill the taper holes.

Was it a workout running 10 miles with an old car spring thrown over your shoulder? laughingicon
