i am using miller big blue 400 amp and s-32p wire feeder with .045 hard face innershield
i have tried 25 volt to 35 volt and i get a lot of splatter and it is hard to clean the slag off of it
is this normal or are i doing something wrong :?
it is only hard face on a backhoe bucket and i guess it won't matter but i don't like the looks of it

It is normal to get considerable splatter using innershield on a wire welder. Solid wire with shielding will reduce the splatter dramaticly

Some of the innershield wires run on DCSP. Check the polarity on your machine and compare it to what Lincoln says.

Hardfacing wires can be kinda messy. The Cobolt Chrome SMAW electrodes I have used have some tenacious Spatter. Of cource for hardfacing, who cares.
