small consumables vs large consumables

New to plasma cutting. I'm still tring to figure out what cutter to buy. In the long run what cuter is going to cost more in consumables the 40d or the 40d pilot arc. The other diference seems to be the triggering mechanism. Can someone with some experience give me some advice please.

Both consumables are cheap compared to the leading brands. Also, with pilot arc, they will last longer because of the non contact start - there is less draw back when you do not drag the tip on the workpiece enabling you to not melt your tips.

Both are affordable and can be bought from many vendors.
